Each festival has its own significance. Due to these festivals, India is called the country of festivals. The festival serves the necessary medicines in life. Just as a healthy diet is needed to keep the body healthy, so it is necessary to have festivals to keep the mind healthy. Human life is full of problems, conflicts, sorrows, and problems in which a man grows and grows. Festivals are very useful for lifting life out of it. The festival communicates power in human life. In India, many festivals are celebrated throughout the year. Many of these festivals are related to seasons and many festivals are associated with historical events and religious beliefs. Diwali is one of the most attractive and important festivals among all the festivals of India.

Naming - Deepawali is made up of Deep + Dhamli, which means that the lamp of the lamp or rows or rosary is made. On this festival, the lamp is burnt at home and house, hence its name was Deepawali.



Reasons to Celebrate - This festival celebrates the new moon of Kartik month. There are many religious, mythological and cultural reasons to celebrate this festival. On this day, Shri Ramchandra had returned to Ayodhya after spending fourteen years of exile and killing Ravana. The Ayodhyaas welcomed him by lighting the flame of Ghee. Since then, this festival is celebrated every year by lighting a lamp. There are many other references to celebrating this festival. According to one legend, on this day, Maharaj Yudhishthira completed the Rajsu Yagna on this day. According to followers of Jainism, Nirvana was received on this day by Mahavir Swami, the enchanter of Jainism. On this day, Swami Saraswati Dayanand, the founder of Arya Samaj, had also received salvation. Guru Gurdwara Hargobind Singh Ji, who was the sixth of Sikh religion, was also released from prison on this day. According to Krishna devotees, one day before this day Shrikrishna had set up Narkasur and on this day, Shri Krishna saved the Braj Pradesh from the wrath of Indra. On this day, Swami Ramitirtha had renounced the body and became furious. That is why this day is a virtue day for all Indians.




Organizing the festival- The Diwali festival brings many festivals along with it. Two days before Diwali, Dhanteras is celebrated on the day of Triads. On this day people buy new utensils. Chaturdashi is celebrated as 'hell chaudias' and the new moon is celebrated in Deepawali. Govardhan Puja is celebrated the next day from Deepawali. On this day, Krishnaji escorted the Govardhan mountain and saved Gokulvasis from the wrath of Indra. Second, brother duoj is celebrated.

Preparations- Preparations of Deepawali begin immediately after Dussehra. This festival rises after the rainy season. People start cleaning, coloring their homes. Merchants also make their shops and offices clean. There is a lot of enthusiasm in the markets. Sweets, crackers, lamps, candles, clothes etc. are marketed with all things. On this day, people worship Hanuman Ji because they came with the message of Shri Ram Ji, Lakshman, and Sita Ji to return to Ayodhya. Different types of dishes are prepared in the houses. In the night light is lit by the lamp in the houses- A few days before Deepawali, people light up their homes with light. People buy Khil-Aasaksh, sweets, and fireworks.




Nowadays, the lamp is replaced by electricity children and candles. Children are very happy about running fireworks. Laxmi-Ganesh and Saraswati ji are worshiped in the house. Gifts and sweets are distributed to friends and relatives.

On the night of Deepawali, some people play gambling and drink alcohol. Thus they dissolve the purity of Deepawali. They should not do this. Millions of people are wasted due to gambling. In addition, people also destroy thousands of rupees on fireworks. We must avoid such evils and mischief. On this day, we must decide that not only the outer light but we should also highlight the virtues in our hearts and should try that wherever there is poverty, starvation, illiteracy, and evils of the world, should be removed. This festival is celebrated in the Hindu month of Kartik for some time during October or November. It is celebrated for the return of Lord Rama by 14 years of exile and for his victory over the demon monster. In many parts of India, Diwali is celebrated for five consecutive days and it is one of the most popular festivals in India. Hindus consider it a festival of life and use this opportunity to strengthen family and relations. In some parts of India, it is a symbol of the beginning of the new year. It is celebrated not only in India but also abroad. During Diwali, Hindu God worshiped Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi.

The Hindus exposed their homes and shops, to welcome the Goddess of wealth and destiny, Goddess Lakshmi, to give them best wishes for the year ahead. A few days ago, the day before the Diwali, houses, buildings, shops, and temples, the rather is completely cleaned, whitewashed and decorated with paintings, toys and flowers. On Diwali day, people wear rich clothes this day, congratulations, gifts and sweets exchange.

At night, buildings are printed with oil lamps, candlesticks, and electric bulbs. Desserts and toy shops are decorated to attract passers-by-market and roads are crowded. People buy sweets for their families and send them to their friends and relatives as gifts too. In the night, Goddess of wealth is worshiped as Goddess of Goddess Lakshmi and silver rupees. People believe that on this day, Hindu Goddess Lakshmi enters only those homes which are clean and orderly. People offer prayers for their health, wealth and prosperity. They leave the light in buildings in their belief that Goddess Lakshmi will not find any difficulty in finding her way.
